The repeats rush into a note. Named for the fennec fox, the smallest canid, with the biggest ears. Hold FS2 and the delay time is pulled from TIME down to a PEAK note. The repeats speed up, bend upward, and blur into a pitch once they come faster than about 25 a second. The feedback climbs as they speed up, so the note swells. Click anything on the drawing.
Top view. One page, no paging: every control does one thing. DIP 1 is the top switch on the right side.
Leave FS2 alone and Fennec is a plain delay at TIME. Hold FS2 (in FOOT mode) and the repeats speed up over RISE, bending upward as they go, until they blur into the PEAK note. Let go and they slow back down to TIME. Pitch is one over the delay time: 10 ms is 100 Hz, 2 ms is 500 Hz.
One delay line with a moving read head. The ramp decides where the head sits, somewhere between TIME and PEAK. The loop keeps the same decay per second however short the delay gets, so each pass gets closer to full feedback as it speeds up. A soft clip in the loop stops the swell from running away.
Toggle 1 picks what drives the ramp. FS2 is the rush in FOOT mode and a freeze in the other two.
Toggles set the mode, the loop's tone and the shape of the rush. The DIPs add pitch tracking, stereo, grit and a latching footswitch.
